Big congrats are in order for Vanessa Hudgens—everyone's favorite teen star apparently just tied the knot with her fiancé, Cole Tucker!

The High School Musical alum and professional baseball player got engaged last year, and have been total #couplegoals since they first started dating back in 2020. Multiple publications confirmed the two got hitched after a photo surfaced on X (formerly Twitter) of Vanessa posing on a beach in a white dress. Sources then confirmed to People that the lovebirds indeed got married this month, and that they did so in Tulum, Mexico.

Back in October, Vanessa went on a bachelorette trip in Aspen with her best girlfriends, and it definitely looked like they had a *ton* of fun, complete with several costumes and a gorgeous custom veil for Vanessa. The veil included her initials and Cole's initials in stitching. The evidence from her weekend of fun is all over IG.

Okay, but who is Cole Tucker? Here’s what you need to know about Vanessa’s hubs.

He’s from Phoenix, Arizona.

Cole was born and raised in Phoenix, and he attended Mountain Pointe high school, according to AZ Central. He even played for Team USA in the 18U Baseball World Cup his senior year.

His former coach Brandon Buck had these kind words about Cole: “He's a special kid. Just to see him do what he's doing in time, knowing that being a tremendous person is the most important thing to him."

He’s a pro baseball player.

Cole was drafted at age 18 and was the first-round pick of the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2014, according to his Major League Baseball profile. He made his debut five years later—on April 20, 2019.

He met his future wife over Zoom.

Cole and Vanessa actually met during the pandemic in 2020 during a group Zoom meditation, she told TODAY. “I think that I just saw him, and I was with my girlfriend and I was like, ‘Who is that?’”

Vanessa basically stared Cole down while she was supposed to be meditating. In a classic Zoom miscommunication, Tucker originally thought Vanessa was staring at him because he had something on his face.

“It’s the ultimate modern day love story,” Vanessa said. "After our Zoom I followed him on Instagram and then I actually just did a deep dive, and two days later, he DM’ed me."

Vanessa said she was really excited to learn more about Cole. “My thing is like why do we give other people the power and control for our own happiness and going after what we want?" she said. "If we’re attracted to someone, if we connect with someone, go for it! Who’s saying you can’t?"

He went Instagram official with Vanessa on Valentine’s Day 2021.

In 2020, Vanessa hinted she might be seeing someone over Instagram with a cryptic “date night” post on her feed. However, the couple kept things mostly under wraps until Valentine’s Day 2021. Later, Vanessa revealed over Instagram that they officially started dating in December 2020.

“It’s you, it’s me, it’s us,” Vanessa wrote in the caption. It’s adorable, is what it is.

He and Vanessa got engaged some time in 2022.

In February 2023, TMZ Sports reported that the couple got engaged back in 2022, with Cole presenting Vanessa with a gorgeous oval diamond in a solitaire setting. Vanessa confirmed the report a few days later, posting an absolutely adorable engagement picture on Instagram on February 10, 2022, in a combined post with Cole. It looks like they celebrated in Paris!

"YES!" The Tick, Tick...BOOM star wrote in the caption. "We couldn't be happier."

He's currently a free agent.

While Cole played in the majors for years, he was reassigned to the minor league twice this fall, according to CBS Sports. He’s been a free agent as of October 4, with CBS Sports noting that he had a “rough” time at bat during his 479 career major league appearances.

Of course, with her own busy schedule, Vanessa can’t make it to all of Cole's games, but she’s def been to a few based on her IG. Plus, she sends Cole good luck texts before he plays, an insider told US Weekly. Aww.

His little brother plays baseball, too.

Cole’s younger brother Carson Tucker was drafted in the first round by the Cleveland Guardians in 2020.

“Carson Tucker’s my favorite player, and I’m rooting for him and pulling for him and following his every move,” Cole told MLB.com in 2020. “I’m just trying to be as much a part of the process as I can and putting my big-brother hat on and also putting my baseball-player hat on."

He was a High School Musical fan before meeting his wife.

Cole told The Athletic in March 2020 that he grew his hair out to look like Corbin Bleu’s HSM character Chad Danforth.

“When I was in fourth grade, I was like, ‘Man, I am going to grow out my hair. I’m going to look like Corbin Bleu and it’s going to be the coolest thing ever,’” he said. "I did it and I’m still doing it. I sound like such a nerd right now, but that’s really what happened. It kind of became my thing.”

He's a golfer.

In addition to watching the sport, Cole seems to go golfing a lot, and Vanessa has posted pictures of her practicing at the driving range, too. The pair has posted pictures at a golf course before–so it could be a regular activity.

Going outside and spending up to four hours with your man? Golfing sounds like an ideal date if you ask me.

They also go to karaoke–so it definitely sounds like a HSM romance to last the ages.

He's said really sweet things about Vanessa in public.

While talking to reporters at spring training in 2021, Cole said, “I got a girlfriend and she’s cool. She’s awesome, I love her. She’s great. She’ll be around. You will see her.”

Later, in March 2021, Vanessa visited Cole in Florida, per PEOPLE. The baseball player also constantly hypes up Vanessa via IG. He even posted one of just her with the caption, “The best.”

His net worth is not totally clear.

Some sources estimate Cole’s net worth to be around $5 million. Minor league baseball players average a salary around $58,000 per year, according to USA Today.

However, Cole probably made more money during his time playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Colorado Rockies. The minimum salary for a player on the team is around $720,000, according to FanGraphs Baseball.

Vanessa, on the other hand, is worth a whopping $18 million, per Celebrity Net Worth.

Congrats to the happy couple!
