15. History Café: Decoding Art in Seattle’s Public Spaces
Downtown Seattle boasts over 350 public artworks, from cedar totem poles to video installations. Jim Rupp, author of Art in Seattle's Public Spaces: From Sodo to South Lake Union, will weave through over 100 years of urban art collecting. 

16. James N. Gregory: The Seattle General Strike
More than 65,000 Seattle workers stopped labor for five days during the Seattle General Strike of 1919, led by the Central Labor Council. Just in time for its centennial—the strike ran from February 6-11 in 1919—join James N. Gregory as he presents a new edition of Robert L. Friedheim's account of the strike.

17. Lunch and Learn: Neal Bascomb
Seattle author Neal Bascomb (Hunting Eichmann, Nazi Hunters) will talk about the capture of Adolf Eichmann—a German Austrian Nazi SS Officer who played a major role in organizing the Holocaust—by the Israeli intelligence agency, Mossad, as outlined in his new book. Cookies will be provided, but you're welcome to bring a lunch from home. 

18. Salmon, Science & Suds
Want to better understand the restorative and rehabilitative efforts underway in the Sammamish watershed? Join Ken King from US Fish and Wildlife for a talk on the mortality rate of Coho due to stormwater runoff. You can also look forward to beer and raffles. 

19. UW Castalia
This installment of Castalia—the monthly reading series that showcases grad students, faculty, and alumni from the University of Washington's MFA program—will feature readings by Chelsea Hernandez, Emma Aylor, Eric Chu, Rebecca Hoogs, Richard Kenney, and Linda Bierds.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 10 Miss Congeniality recipient Monét X Change will grace Seattle for a special performance after a screening of the latest episode of All Stars Season 4, on which she's a contestant. Let's hope she wears her famous dress made of sponges.

City Council has given the green light for a redesign of Seattle's Center's skate plaza, which will feature a "progression plaza," a new roof and lights, and cool additions designed for all skate levels. Meet the designers and ex-pro skater Kanten Russell at this open house. 

60. Lake View Cemetery Walking Tour
"Seattle's most famous cemetery" houses the corpses of some of the city's most prominent pioneers, including the Dennys, Maynards, Mercers, Yeslers, and Chief Seattle’s daughter, Princess Angeline. Join the Atlas Obscura Society's Jared Steed for a special tour of the grounds.

Dance historian and Pacific Northwest Ballet Audience Education Manager Doug Fullington will lead this studio presentation featuring PNB School Professional Division students dancing Petipa’s original choreography for Marius Petipa's 1892 production of Sleeping Beauty. 

78. A Drag Tribute to Buffy the Vampire Slayer
The wonderfully peculiar queens of WEIRD, Old Witch and Londyn Bradshaw, bring you a Buffy-themed drag show filled, we can only hope, with fake blood and fangs.

Rectify your post-holiday blues with a night of music and dance performances by Jerboa Dance, the Guild Dance Company, 3SD2, HYPERNOVA, and others. 

80. Rutherford and Son
UW Drama will revive a 1912 London smash hit about family treachery and big business. According to press materials, UW will be only the third company to stage Githa Sowerby's feminist one-hit-wonder in the US.

Dr. Ward served as Assistant Curator for the Smithsonian Institution special exhibit Vikings: The North Atlantic Saga and is the former Program Director for the Vikingaheimar Museum in Reykjanesbær, Iceland. Join the Scandinavian culture expert for a talk about (you guessed it) Vikings. 

82. Express Yo'self! Pure Expression Open Mic and Dance Party

83. Sohrab Homi Fracis: Go Home

Washington's Bavarian-inspired village retains its holiday magic and whimsy, even after New Year's Eve, during its annual Bavarian Ice Fest. And if you love fireworks, know that this event is the only time that Leavenworth sets off sparks of colorful lights. 

89. Limmud Festival of Jewish Learning
Limmud (which means "learning" in Hebrew) invites people of all backgrounds to discover Jewish art, music, food, history, and more through activities like hands-on workshops, live performances, and panel discussions.

Calling all train enthusiasts: This three-day exhibition will feature lots of railroad displays in all kinds of landscapes built by professional model-makers—many of whom will be there in person.
